Hi there…

March 18, 2008

So, back to the blog.

It’s been a while, and a fair amount of stuff has happened since the previous post. It’ll be hard to get back into regular blogging, but I think I’ll manage it.

If this continues, it’ll be different from this post onwards. No more Albums etc.

A certain Chronicler enticed me back to blogging.

Band of Brothers

September 21, 2006

Wow…I’ve just finished watching the mini-series after my friend Dave let me borrow it. I have to say, it’s amazing. If anyone out there hasn’t seen it and likes War films, I recommend it.

Even if you aren’t a fan of the WWII genre, it’s one of the best directed movies I’ve ever seen.

Richard Hammond Injured

September 21, 2006

Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond remains seriously ill in hospital after a crash in a jet-powered car while filming for the BBC programme.

:( According to Leeds General Hospital he’s in a stable condition. Hope he recovers. Top Gear won’t be the same without him.

Jesus Camp

September 18, 2006

I was browsing the Apple Trailers site for any new and noteable films coming out, and came across this link. I naturally thought this was a comedy before I clicked on it, however I was horribly mistaken.

For those of you who don’t have Quicktime, the film is basically a documentary about “A new breed of Christian”. The trailer shows clips of 11 and 12 year old preaching about Jesus in the way radicals would.

I for one am worried about this. The movie states that “a new church like this is opened every 3 days”. I was only slightly concerned until a pre-teen stated that he and his friends were “Gods Army”. Crusades anyone?

Brainwashing a child at this age is just wrong. I’m not saying every Christian is like this, because I know for a fact they aren’t. However, when people use God as an excuse to carry out their deeds, that’s when they cross the line.

G’arr: Update

September 11, 2006

Apparently Talk Like A Pirate Day was on September 19th after all. I even said that in the previous post.Unfortunately that means it’s another 8 daysL. This has now made me worried as I had September 12th in my mind and  don’t know what I’m doing tomorrow.

Farewell :(

August 1, 2006

As some of you know, I’m going on holiday on for two weeks starting Thursday.

There’s mixed emotions over this, the first being happiness due to the level of coolness Greece has, the second being serious upsetness over lack of friends.

I’ll miss each and every one of you, although there’s one person I’m gonna miss more :( More on that later. Stay safe and have tons of fun, and I’ll see you on the 18th :(

Site Update

April 26, 2006

Well…it’s down again. I’m thinking I should take the guestbook off until I can find a way of properly validating emails.

Experimenting with a new design, although imminent exams are taking up quite a bit of PC time.

I shudder when I think of the future economy of our generation.

Imagine the world as it is now, heavily populated with idiot conformers (i.e Emos, Chavs etc), then imagine them in the jobs of today.

Horrible isn’t it?

Our economy will crash with such force that people in japan will die. I’m not on about the jobs already suited for Chavs (walk into McDonalds, you’ll see what I’m on about), or jobs for Emos (photographers), I mean standard jobs. Jobs for everyday people, like architects, CEOs of huge corporations etc.

I imagine I’m walking along a street in the future, amidst the sounds of 15 year olds trying to get their 2 year old children to shut up. Emos lining the streets listening to the latest ’scene’ band with their new single, ‘my girlfriend died again today’, bitching about how harsh their life is back home, and I’m thinking “what the fuck have I done to deserve this?”
Nothing in the UK will ever get done, there’ll be no proper food, and the water will have a faint taste of White Lightning.

This is a plea here, if there is anyone apart from my dear friends (due to them I am safe in the knowledge that there will be at least some people to run this damned country), who isn’t really loving the whole cheapness/emotionialness of being one of these ‘races’ (chavs even have their own language for fuck sake…ie replacing ‘th’ with ‘d’…’dem’), and wishes they led a normal, happy life, please change, for the sake of our country.

Edit: As soon as I posted this, I went to check out the guestbook, I found a comment that wasn’t written by any of the usual visitors (at least I sincerely hope not). This comment unfortunately highlights the above problems, and has only worsened my fears.

These two posts are a sort of sadistical milestone really, because it shows just how stupid we really are, yet we continue to carry on as though nothing will happen.

A study carried out by the Independant apparently shows that the amount of greenhouse gases present in the atmosphere has passed a threshold – the point of no return if you will. This basically means whatever we now try and do to prevent global warming will have no effect whatsoever.

I wish people would fucking realise how selfish they’re actually being, polluting the earth, then leaving the consequences for their children. Then again, I guess I’m contributing to this pollution in some minute way.

You know who the worst offenders are? fucking Americans. Biggest polluter in the whole world, and they bloody well know it. All other 1st world countries have gladly signed the Kyoto agreement, apart from them. This is because they know they’re the worst ones, yet do nothing about it.

I’m really upset about this at the moment, but in time my original values will surface, mainly the “we’re put on this earth for a damned short time, lets make the most of it” one. I’ve always been an optimist, but now it seems that whatever we do, it’ll only be in vain.

I suppose that now this report has come out, we (note: ‘we’ does not include the fatties across the channel) can accept what we’ve done, and continue with our lives.

I am happy knowing that because of what will be said in part 2, I shall live through my life with a decent job, due to the fact that I will be one of the few who possess the required cognitive capacity in order to sustain one.
